The art and culture fields are in a state of flux unprecedented in recent times. Cultural institutions are being questioned as never before, while the art market is segmenting, with some areas booming and others in a state of siege. Navigating this new context can be overwhelming.

Recommendations
I have known Gregory Burke for over 6 years and, as the lead patron for the Remai Modern museum, I have worked closely with him on this project. During that time, I found him to be a dedicated professional with a long-term vision for the museum. Gregory was instrumental in opening the Remai Modern in October 2017. His leadership, hard work and commitment to the museum contributed greatly to its success. I am confident that Gregory will bring these skills to whatever future endeavors he undertakes.
Ellen C. Remai, M.S.C., Lead Patron, Remai Modern
Very seldom do you find in a person the breadth of skillsets that Gregory brought to the task as executive director of Remai Modern. His knowledge of museum construction was critical to the proper fitting of the premise; his strategies for branding and marketing to deliver a new modern museum to Saskatoon were insightful; his connections to the international art community were invaluable and his ability from a curatorial perspective as well as a financial perspective was also critical to Remai Modern's incredible success in its first year.
Alain Gaucher, Past Board of Directors – Chairperson, Remai Modern
The launch of Remai Modern was extraordinary, due in no small part to Gregory Burke's leadership, experience, passion and ability to define a compelling mission. His recommendations concerning the design of the building greatly enhanced its functionality, while his business acumen, fundraising and marketing skills, and not least, his informed, intelligent and savvy artistic vision, enabled his team to open the museum to international acclaim.

Having worked with many cultural institutions and their respective directors over the past 15 years, Gregory Burke stood out as the leader with a clear vision, a keen understanding of strategy and brand development, and the ability to build a team around him that delivers.

Gregory Burke is an inspired curator, enjoying strong working relationships with numerous artists internationally. I worked closely with him over a three-year period, as co-curator of L’avenir: (looking forward), La Biennale de Montréal 2014, that was presented at the Musée d’art contemporain and elsewhere around Montreal, and have found his instincts invariably well researched and ahead-of-the-curve. His texts are varied, informative and highly articulate.
Peggy Gale, Curator/Critic, Toronto
I cannot speak more highly about Gregory’s vision, commitment and expertise with regards to the launch of Remai Modern. I worked with Gregory as a Board member at The Power Plant and then worked closely with him to create the Remai Modern brand. It is rare that a consultant gets an opportunity to help create a brand from the ground up, but this project was a dream. A rare mix of creative energy, operations and finance excellence and subject matter expert, Gregory was a pleasure to work with and I’m very proud of what he was able to accomplish during his tenure at Remai Modern — bringing that institution/vision to life was a monumental task that he accomplished with grace and a commitment to excellence.
Kerry Harris, Principal, ReBoot, Toronto
Greg is a visionary and disciplined leader, who took The Power Plant to new levels of accomplishment. After balancing the books, Greg initiated a comprehensive strategic plan to promote alignment and shared ambition. Greg is loved by artists and has a gifted curatorial mind.
