Collection Advisory

We work with clients to refine their collection strategies and develop their collections. Our work draws on long-standing relationships with artists, extensive research of the market, and insight into the current and potential art historical significance of potential acquisitions and sales, to meet the aims and interests of clients. We also offer advice on the care of collections, including conservation, documentation, cataloguing, lending criteria and display. Our collection advice and reporting extends to appraisals for insurance coverage, damage claims, estate valuations, sale of works, tax calculations and charitable donations.

Exhibitions/Public Art Projects/Publications/Writing

We provide astute and expert services for the development and management of exhibitions, commissions, public art projects and publications. Services include: conceptual and curatorial development of exhibitions and public projects; project management; conceptual development and editorial management of publications and commissioned writing for institutions, artists and corporate and private collectors.

Strategic Consulting

We provide a range of strategic consulting services to institutional, private and non-profit clients. Services include working with clients to develop or refine institutional strategic plans to strategic analysis of development opportunities including feasibility studies. Our consulting expertise draws on cultural sector best practices, philosophical goal-setting, customer feedback, data analysis and market research. We also specialize in both half and full day facilitated workshops for Boards and teams. Workshops are designed to stimulate strategic planning and brand development through sharing of insights, introduction to best practices and active engagement with fresh thinking.

Museum Design Advisory

Once functional programs are set, designs are completed and a contractor has been engaged, making changes is generally very expensive and invariably necessary. Drawing on our extensive experience with museum capital development projects we assist clients in developing or reviewing proposed functional programs and resulting museum designs. We work with museums embarking on development projects and also assist architects bidding on museum design competitions.
